PRESS OFFICER – INTERNATIONAL ARTIST’S STUDIO

KEYS AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Execute short and long-term communications strategies for all public-facing activity, including social media and printed press amongst others
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of social media with the social media team and proactively generate material
- Collaborate with both internal and external teams to launch and promote new exhibitions y working with artists and their associated galleries and other agencies where appropriate
- Respond to media and incoming requests, including photography, interviews etc
- Establish and nurture relationships with important media contacts and critics
- Build and maintain a contacts database
- Manage filming, interviews and photography involving the artist and other staff and external contacts where needed
- Management of the archive of film, photography and content negotiating rights and copyright accordingly
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4 plus years’ communications experience
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Languages an advantage
- Understanding of digital/social media
- Understanding of copyright and image usage
- Existing network of media contacts
- Understanding and/or experience of the art world
